Tooth Extraction with Ridge Preservation

A tooth extraction can be required for a variety of reasons, including severe decay, injury or trauma, or disease, such as periodontal disease. Teeth that are misaligned or impacted may also need to be removed to accommodate additional treatment like orthodontic treatment.

After a tooth is extracted, bone is placed in the socket to preserve the ridge and allows for the placement of a prosthetic like an implant or bridge.
