Oral Cancer Exam

Oral cancer screening is an examination performed by a dentist or doctor to look for signs of cancer or precancerous conditions in your mouth. The goal of an oral cancer screening is to identify mouth cancer early, when there is a greater chance for a cure.

These exams take a few minutes and we look at your mouth for any unusual lesions, ulcerations, color changes or anything else that appears out of place.

The best way to prevent it is by avoiding high-risk behaviors, such as chewing tobacco or smoking. It’s also important you get regular exams at our office to ensure your mouth is healthy.
